Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) biotechnology

Kickstart your journey in the fascinating world of biotechnology with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree! Creating a roadmap for your studies can help you stay organized and focused throughout the year. Here’s a comprehensive to keep you on track and make the most of your undergraduate experience. Dive into the science that shapes our future.

The key eligibility criteria for a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biotechnology across India are completing Class 12, securing minimum marks, and having the required science subjects.

Key Eligibility Criteria

Academic and Subject Requirements

  • Qualifying Exam: Pass Class 12 (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognized state, central, or international board.

  • Stream/Subjects: Must study Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as core subjects. Some universities also accept Biotechnology or Mathematics (PCM/PCMB) in place of Biology.

  • Minimum Marks: General category students need a 50% to 60% aggregate score in Class 12. Reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) usually get a relaxation down to 45%.

  • Age Limit:  No upper age limit is specified under standard University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines
