​Thinking of a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) or BBA in India? You’ll need to finish school and meet some entrance requirements. Colleges usually check your qualifications, minimum marks, and entrance exam scores. Just keep those criteria in mind.

​ Key Eligibility Criteria 

Educational and Age Requirements

  • Class 12 Pass: Must pass the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam from a recognized state or national board. Students awaiting final results can also apply provisionally. 

  • Accepted Streams: Open to students from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts), though some top universities prefer or require Mathematics or English as core subjects. 

  • Age Limit: Usually a minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission, with upper limits generally capped around 20 to 25 years depending on the university. 

  • Percentage Scores: An aggregate score of 45% to 50% marks is typical for general category students, while reserved categories (SC/ST) often get a 5% relaxation. Elite universities may ask for 55% to 60% or higher.

  • Entrance Tests: Many premier colleges across India require valid scores from national or university-level management entrance tests.
