Are you thinking about pursuing a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Environmental Science in India? Well, to get started, you'll need to have completed your 10+2 in the science stream with a minimum aggregate of % to 55%. Make sure you’ve got core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics under your belt.

Academic Qualifications

  • Qualifying Exam: Pass class 12th (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognized state or central board (such as CBSE, ICSE).

  • Stream: Must belong to the Science stream.

  • Compulsory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics. 

  • Minimum Aggregate: Generally 50% to 55% marks in aggregate at the 10+2 level, depending on the specific university guidelines.

  • Category Relaxations: Reserved category students (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) usually receive a relaxation of 5% marks down to 40%–45% as per government rules.

  • Age Limit: Typically a minimum age of 17 years at the time of admission; upper age limits vary or may not apply.
